I sent a query!

I finally did it. I sent my very first query letter! Now I impatiently await my very first rejection! This is all very exciting. I love my story, don’t get me wrong. I hope an agent will like it too, someday. I have no idea how long it will take, or how many letters I will have to send but I know someone will like it enough to want to represent it.

Meanwhile I am going over my manuscript yet again, looking for anything out of place. Spit polishing, just in case…so it’ll be ready. lol I am going to try not to do that all the time. πŸ™‚ I have a folder ready and waiting for my letter, I am hoping it will have some words of encouragement or some advice and won’t just be a form rejection.

In other news I have been working on WIP 2, my Nano project. I love that project and I think it has a lot of potential.

  1. Don’t know if you’ve done this yet, but I’d have your next agents picked out and queries completely ready for them so that if you do get rejected, it’s easy to just send off the next one. I think sending out new queries right away helps minimize the disappointment of rejection because you mix it with anticipation of the next possible acceptance.

I’m rooting for you! Querying is one heck of a journey!
